Smoke Ventilation Control Panels
The intelligence of any smoke ventilation system is developed around the control panel.
Dyer Environmental Controls offers a vast range of control panels, based around three different types:
- Compact
- Modular
- Extendable

Compact: |
 |
The Compact system is based around a single zone smoke system (1 smoke line, 1 natural ventilation group),
often employed within staircases and small buildings/areas. All day-to-day natural ventilation functions
can still be included, e.g. switches, rain and temperature sensors, with the fire signal overriding all
other signals. As with all the other control systems offered, a 72-hour battery back-up system is included
within the panel, as well as a service timer module to trigger a maintenance reminder. All the systems can
be stand-alone systems with their own smoke detection, or triggered by the building fire alarm/BMS.

Modular: |

The Modular system provides for a 2-zone smoke ventilation system (2 smoke lines), applicable to
larger projects. In addition, the number of natural ventilation groups can be increased to 3 no.

Extendable: |
 |
The Extendable system provides for an open system design. By utilising a plug-in card design, any
number of smoke lines and natural ventilation groups can be allowed for. Whole complex buildings e.g.
large apartment blocks, shopping centres, airports, can be controlled by the one control panel.
The panel housing increases in size with the increase in lines and groups. Other additional
technological features can include proportional incremental opening of vents, status indicators and
complex weather stations.
