State-of-art Building Natural Ventilation System designed in conjunction with Ventilation Analytical
Specialists from DeMontford University. 140 no. RAL coloured chain actuators for the windows and
rooflights and linear drive actuators for the internal louver system. 12 no. Multi-zone Natural Ventilation
Control Panels complete with BMS incremental opening and position indication. All working in conjunction
with mini-atrium extract ventilation systems. |

Teleflex Manual Remote Winding Mechanisms were required for the high level ventilation of the main hall.
Each mechanism set operates 2 no. top hung windows. |

Smoke + Natural Ventilation System
Dyer provided externally mounted linear actuators to open huge ETFE 12metre x 2metre wide pitched roof
vents by over 1200mm! The unique BSY technology allowed 6 no. actuators to be fully synchronised on each
vent, providing incremental control. A BMS system was also provided, with thermostat space sensors, CO2
sensors, weather station, and powered low-level air intake louvres, with control to the ETFE roof for
inflation and deflation of the air cushions.

Smoke + Natural Ventilation System
We believe we have provided the actuators to open the world's biggest opening smoke vent! The ETFE vent is 22.5m
wide by 1.5m high, which we provided 8 no. 800mm synchronized linear actuators. These revolutionary BSY actuators
provide constant communication between each other, utilising microprocessors housed within each motor. This
design provides a constant opening speed and force throughout the entire length of the vent.
